How to Install Lightroom Presets
Follow our step-by-step instructions to install presets in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom CC, and Lightroom Mobile. Get started in minutes!
Lightroom Classic
Download and Extract
Download the preset ZIP file and extract it to a folder on your computer.
Open Lightroom Classic
Launch Adobe Lightroom Classic and go to the Develop module.
Import Presets
In the Presets panel, click the "+" icon and select "Import Presets". Choose your extracted .lrtemplate or .xmp files.
Apply Presets
Your presets will appear in the Presets panel. Click on any preset to apply it to your photo.
Lightroom CC (Desktop)
Download Presets
Download and extract the preset files to your computer.
Open Edit Panel
Open Lightroom CC, select a photo, and go to the Edit panel.
Import Presets
Click on "Presets" at the bottom, then click the three dots (...) and select "Import Presets".
Select Files
Choose your .xmp preset files and click "Import". Your presets will appear in the Presets panel.
Lightroom Mobile
Download DNG Files
Download the preset pack and look for .dng files (sample images with preset applied).
Import to Lightroom Mobile
Open Lightroom Mobile and import the .dng files to your library.
Create Preset
Select a .dng file, tap the three dots (...), and choose "Create Preset".
Name and Save
Give your preset a name and save it. You can now apply it to any photo in your mobile library.
Pro Tips
Use RAW Files
Presets work best with RAW files (.CR2, .NEF, .ARW, etc.) as they contain more image data.
Adjust After Applying
Presets are starting points. Feel free to adjust exposure, highlights, and shadows to perfect your image.

Create folders to organize your presets by style, photographer, or use case for easy access.
